Seasonal Community Celebrations
For followers of nature-based spiritual paths the dynamics of the changing seasons and the interplay between darkness and light, and the natural world are fundamental. This cycle is an expression of deeper truths, and by making a conscious choice to be active participants in the natural ebb and flow of the year, pagans can find harmony with things on all levels: natural, personal, and the divine.
Community rituals are open to the whole pagan and pagan friendly community to celebrate the seasons.

At Eclectic Traditions, we always need help with monetary donations, which you can do so on our website. However, one of the best ways to support and its totally free, is by subscribing to the Instagram, Tik-Tok, and YouTube channels while hitting the like buttons and sharing the videos with others.

Imbolc ~ Let Go of Winter’s Stagnation
Re-Run of the Pagan Student Fellowship’s (PSF) Imbolc ritual from 2021.
The Pagan Student Fellowship (PSF) at Texas State University brings you an Imbolc Ritual for 2021. The Pagan Student Fellowship is comprised of students from Texas State University, interested faculty and staff, and an advisor. All students are welcome to attend PSF meetings, regardless of religious affiliations, provided they are respectful and abide by our constitution and Texas State's rules of conduct. Their goal as an organization is to create a safe space for Pagans and those interested in Paganism to come together to learn about the various paths and traditions under the Pagan umbrella.
PSF's Imbolc ritual is designed to help let go of the stagnation of winter and look toward the coming spring, and the changes this new year will bring. This will be a non-deity-specific ritual (personalize-able in your own way).
For this ritual, you will need:

For this ritual, you will need:
- Any Candle to light (can be electronic if you live where candles are not allowed)
- A new, plain taper candle, such as this: https://www.groveandgrotto.com/collections/candles/products/6-basic-candle-white a white candle for carving would be best but is not completely necessary if you can't get one in time.
- An implement to Carve the candle with, such as a knife or even a safety pin. If you are unable to have candles, a piece of paper with a candle shape drawn on it would suffice.
- Water, a vessel for your water, and herbs, oils, or crystals for consecration of your water. You can still participate even if you don't have herbs, oils, or crystals on hand. Here are some suggestions of cleansing items: Possible crystals: Quartz or Amethyst Possible herbs: Rosemary, sage, juniper, lavender, or mullein Possible oils: sage, hyssop, lemon, lime, mint
- A bite to eat and something to drink. (This can be very simple.)
